| Ukhia Upazila mapUkhia Upazila (cox's bazar district) with an area of 261.8 sq km, is bounded by ramu upazila on the north, Myanmar and naikhongchhari upazila on the east, teknaf upazila on the south, the bay of bengal on the west. Main river is the Naf.
Ukhia (Town) consists of one mouza. The area of the town is 18.32 sq km It has a population of 15924; male 52.79%, female 47.21%. Density of population per sq km is 869. Literacy rate among the town people is 23.4%.
Administration Ukhia thana was established in 1926 and was turned into an upazila in 1983. It consists of 5 union parishads, 13 mouzas, 54 villages.
Archaeological heritage Patabari Buddhist Keyang, Kutupalang Buddhist Keyang, Kanabazar Tunnel.
Population 121514; male 51.45%, female 48.55%; Muslim 90.17%, Hindu 2.30%, Buddhist 7.53%; ethnic nationals: Chakmas 339 families.
